I always hesitate to say this bc I know it makes some people Angy or feel personally attacked . . . and I don't want to do that!! BUT, I do think that characters should be allowed to have flaws. I never shy away from giving my characters' flaws; Tai has a lot of them!! so I'm not saying he's right for this; I'm just saying it's how he feelS !!! . . . so with that disclaimer out of the way . . . can I just say: it is wild to me how there's a problem in the rpc of people not giving non-cis-male oc's the time of day, or not giving them any meaningful interactions and connections to their muses-- not like they do with male oc's. ( unless mAYBE they're shipping with them. then the 'female oc' MIGHT get some decent engagement... ) because on tai, that is so the opposite of my experience JASJSAJJ partially because I WILL LOVE UR NON-MALE OC'S ASJKHASJ; SEND THEM ALL MY WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but also?? ic?? tai does the opposite: he will hate on men for pretty much no reason at all. JASJAJJA he generally has a harder time bonding to or connecting with men. he's like that dog that barks at all men because they had a bad experience with one once... but seriously tho, this is an actual character trait caused by his history asjajj; it's not for nothing or just for shits n giggles or bc 'all men r bad grrrr' girlboss-feminism. his grandmother was the only family member who loved and accepted him and took good care of him, and warmly showed him affection. some of his aunt's have been pretty nice and supportive of him, too ... MEANWHILE, all the men in his life have given him nothing but problems and complexes asjajjJS. or they simply gave him nothing at all. his father, other family members, his adopted father ( to be fair, his adopted father DID take good care of him in some ways-- but he was still very emotionally distant and closed-off to tai which caused some emotional damage of it's own ) and most of it ties back to toxic masculinity. there is a lot of intergenerational trauma in his family & he spent his life watching men be deadbeats or otherwise toxic to their family members. therefore, he internalized mistrust and resentment toward them... which is ofc not to say he hates all men ajsjaj, obviously not because he now has close friends and mentors and other men in his life with whom he has a nothing but love and respect for !!! I’m just saying that he does have a internal negative bias ... and it initially makes it harder for him to care about or trust men, and anyone who 'exudes' traditional masculinity, he is Naturally sus of them, i am so sorry asjajjaj. and he will more often assume they have bad judgement or bad intentions, more than he would of others . . . yes, he can and has been proven wrong about someone before, though !! ... pls don't cancel him; he just has Traumas TM asjajjaj
